Latest Updates from Our Project:
Issue #6 just got a whole lot bigger... open to find out why! Plus the the pre-launch for SHADOW NATION!

Howdy, folks!
I've got some bittersweet news to share with you all and I will start with the good. The script for Issue #6 is now complete and while I had already announced the book would be published as a double-issue with 48 pages anyway Fabiano and I still had planned to deliver not more than 38 or 39 story pages.
Well... issue #6 has clocked at 44 pages!!!!
Fabiano wasn't too thrilled about it because it obviously impacted our production calendar. Not by much but at least a couple of weeks so Fabiano has enough time to continue delivering his best work without rushing through it.
And when I say his best work, I really mean it, check it out:
Alright, the extra pages will delay us but not too much.
Still enough to get me to fix some of our dates so you can all follow up on our progress without worrying, especially because the printer will surely ask for the same 8-10 weeks so a little delay now impacts delivery a couple of months later.
So here we go, as I have finally wrapped up the script, these are a bit more accurate now:
October 2nd(that's today) - Kickstarter pre-launch and sign-up for SHADOW NATION (the campaign won't be live but you'll be able to check out some previews and sign-up to be notified when we do launch - scroll down for details)
October 3rd thru 6th - New York Comic Con. I will be at the Artists Alley at Table E-30 with tons of TFAC content including an exclusive Shadow Nation promotional post-card that will be given for free during all four days.
October 31st - 2020 Calendar Announcement for all things The Few and Cursed including Season 2!
November 8th - BackerKit Surveys sent out to all backers. They are mandatory so please mark your calendar and make sure you are getting e-mails from BackerKit.
November 19th - Launch date for the Kickstarter campaign to fund Shadow Nation.
---->November 28th<---- NEW DATE - Issue #6 Digital Copies distributed via BackerKit.
December 19th - End date of Shadow Nation on Kickstarter
---->February 15th <---- NEW DATE - Rewards Fulfillment for The Few and Cursed #6.
I do apologize for the delay but I can't say I'm sorry. Adding pages and ending the story without the pressure of hitting deadlines or a pagegoal is the best reason for a delay. I did take my time with the issue but I'm extremely proud of the ending and I cannot wait for you all to experience it.
And thank you for allowing me such freedom through your support and patience, Fabiano and I really appreciate it. Without it the quality of work wouldn't be the same.
THANKS!
THE FEW AND CURSED: SHADOW NATION KICKSTARTER PRE-LAUNCH
It's time to explore another corner of The Few and Cursed universe, folks! I'm extremely proud to be joined by artists RUI SILVEIRA & TÉO GONZALES to tell a brand new tale set in the same world we've come to know through Red's eyes.
Shadow Nation is a graphic novel with a complete story that begins on the East coast and then takes readers deep into the Federation of Texas and Comanche territory. I'm taking this opportunity to introduce a complete new cast of characters while finally giving room for a couple of characters created for Chronicles and the board game to shine:
LaVerne & Alistair Fairweather
Interior page by Rui Silveira with colors to come by Téo Gonzales
The Kickstarter is NOT live yet but the pre-launch page is already up online and you can sign up to be notified upon launch. We will be launching on November 19th at 10am EST.
When you click the link above you will be directed to a page full of information, previews and more. Then make sure to hit the Notify me on launch button up top on the left side to receive an e-mail as soon as the project goes live \o/
Feel free to leave feedback as well or suggest rewards and other collectibles.
If you are attending New York Comic Con this weekend make sure to come by table E-30 at Artists Alley to pick up your own exclusive and collectible Shadow Nation post-card!
I sincerely hope to have most of you jump from one TFAC tale to another and help me continue to grow this strange universe.
All the best!
Felipe

Hey gang!
I know it hasn't been that long since our last update but seeing how some dates have shifted on my end I thought I'd already share them with you all.
Fabiano and I are hard at work on issue #6 but we are not looking to rush it. It's our season finale and we want to finish it strong. I've been struggling with the script because I want to make sure it's not like anything else you might have seen out there. I want it to be exciting, well crafted and memorable.
Sneak peek at the detailed pencils by Fabiano Neves
As of right now about 2/3 of the script is finished and by the end of the week Fabiano will be about halfway through the book.
We've been working on The Few and Cursed every day and I hope you guys have a heck of a time when we finally make it available. Our original schedule was to send out the BackerKit Surveys early next month during New York Comic Con along with the Digital Copies shortly after.
This would coincide with the Kickstarter launch for the LaVerne spinoff announced back in July. But seeing how we are taking a bit longer with issue #6 here are some proposed shifts in our TFAC calendar.
October 2nd - Kickstarter pre-launch and sign-up for the LaVerne spinoff (the campaign won't be live but you'll be able to check out some previews and sign-up to be notified when we do launch)
October 3rd thru 6th - New York Comic Con. I will be at the Artists Alley at Table E-30 with tons of TFAC content including an exclusive LaVerne promo post-card that will be given for free during all four days.
October 31st - 2020 Calendar Announcement for all things The Few and Cursed including Season 2!
November 8th - BackerKit Surveys sent out to all backers. They are mandatory so please mark your calendar and make sure you are getting e-mails from BackerKit.
November 17th - Issue #6 Digital Copies distributed via BackerKit.
November 19th - Launch date for the Kickstarter campaign to fund the LaVerne spinoff.
December 19th - End date of the LaVerne spin-off Kickstarter
January 20th - Rewards Fulfillment for The Few and Cursed #6.
Peach Momoko's finished artwork for our FIRST actual Metal Signature card!
I really appreciate all your support and patience as everyone involved with The Few and Cursed looks to do their best work. It's a pretty good feeling you can invest the time needed without any pressure other than our own.
Fabiano, Tiago, Mike, Rui, Téo, Deyvison, literally the whole crew couldn't be more excited to continue growing the world around Red and there's a lot of cool stuff planned. I hope you guys have been enjoying the previews sprinkled across this update =D
One of the new bounties unlocked as a Stretch Goal for the board game: The Alamo Cursed!
LAVERNE SPINOFF TITLE REVEAL...
Up until now the official working title of the spin-off was "The LaVerne Spinoff" but I think it's time we finally give it a real title, isn't it?
I've been working on a completely new cast of characters (well, maybe not completely, there will be a familiar face or two popping up) and on a completely new region of this giant wasteland that is the world of The Few and Cursed.
What you will see below is nothing but the LAYOUT for the proposed variant cover to be digitally painted by superstar artist Gilberto Martimiano Jr.
Enjoy it!
THE FEW AND CURSED: SHADOW NATION arrives on Kickstarter November 19th!
What do you think of the title? And the proposed cover?
Please leave your comments below as I couldn't be more curious about how people will welcome this new character and story into Red's universe \o/
That's it for now, folks, and as you can see, it's a lot! I sincerely hope to continue counting on you to develop this universe and from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU ALL!

The Kickstarter for One-Eyed Jack is still going and has unlocked three Stretch Goals already!! We're going into our final week looking to unlock as much content as possible. If you haven't checked it out yet please come pay the project a visit.
This has been an incredible and unbelievable experience for me both as a writer and editor as I got to collaborate with one of TV's most exciting creators ever: Anthony E. Zuiker.
Now that we've started to unlock extra content we are really excited to produce our very own One-Eyed Jack deck of cards featuring characters from the graphic novel.
I deeply appreciate your support and pledge crossing from one book to another and One-Eyed Jack needs to find its own audience so thank you if you can help with that.
As always if you have any questions, concerns, critiques, anything really, just drop a comment or shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]
Thanks again and until our next update!

As mentioned last week I have a new graphic novel in the works. One-Eyed Jack Vol. 1 is now LIVE on Kickstarter and welcoming pledges with special early bird rewards and limited collectibles!
I sincerely hope to see many of you jumping titles - especially on the first couple of days when your support is absolutely necessary to get us up to the top of the category.
The artwork by BRÄO is absolutely gorgeous, I'm collaborating on the script with TV series CSI's creator ANTHONY E. ZUIKER and to top it all off the variant cover is by superstar artist JAE LEE with colors by JUNE CHUNG \o/
Thanks so much for checking it out!

Full colored page previews + new graphic novel project coming up next week on Aug. 27th!

– Sat, Aug 24, 2019 at 12:17:12 AM
Hey gang!
Just thought I'd check in and share a little bit of our progress working on issue #6. Fabiano has finished laying out the issue up to page 20 and has turned in about ten completed pages.
Colorist Tiago Barsa started working on the book as well and has already shared some exciting beautiful work!
Allow me a moment though before sharing the previews to present my latest graphic novel:
I think this new comic book series is really going to connect with most of you. One-Eyed Jack is a thrilling re-telling of events that led up to the Las Vegas Shooting that took place back in October 1st, 2017.
Created and executive produced by Anthony E. Zuiker - the creator of TV franchise CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - with stunning artwork by Brazilian artist BRÄO this new series looks to be a protest comic book designed to raise awareness to political and social issues in our country but with a twist.
The Kickstarter for One-Eyed Jack Volume 1 launches next Tuesday (Aug. 27th) at 10am EST.
But you can already pay the project a visit and check out an exclusive sneak peek at more info, more art and all the perks we will be offering. Just hit the link above, have some fun and leave a comment if there's anything you'd like added or edited.
I could not be more excited about this opportunity and the chance to be working side by side with one of TV's greats. Not only it's been one heck of a learning experience this will definitely impact any future plans of ever seeing Red in a small or big screen.
Now back to good old The Few and Cursed!
Not only I have some full colored pages to share from issue #6, I also have a couple of artworks - and new characters! - exclusively produced for the board game.
While these characters might be making their debut on the game you can all expect them to jump over the comics as soon as we wrap up the arc Crows of Mana'Olana.
And now, finally, here are two brand news pages straight out of THE FEW AND CURSED #6.
Enjoy!
Thanks so much for your enthusiastic support towards The Few and Cursed universe. It's really exciting and fulfilling to be working on so much cool stuff possible only through your pledges.
I hope to see many of you Tuesday showing the same kind of love towards One-Eyed Jack, folks!
Cheers,
Felipe
Dropped pledges, online store, production update and project spotlight!

Howdy fellas!
I hope everyone has a pleasant and restful Fourth of July weekend, I know I did and after two Kickstarter campaigns running simultaneously God knows I needed a break. I did manage to sign pretty much all the comic books that are going out to Few and Cursed #5 backers though but that's always fun when you are not really up against a time-crunch.
I wanted to go over a couple of things with you guys.
DROPPED PLEDGES
As of right now we've got 31 backers that have not completed their pledges due to payment errors. I've already contacted them individually asking if they needed any help but as always we do get dropped pledges and the final numbers of the Kickstarter might change.
Thankfully we've gone well past the last Stretch Goal so I don't expect anything to change as far as content. I just wanted to remind backers to double-check their pledges to make sure all is well and your pledge is confirmed.
The latest web store went up online as soon as the Kickstarter ended and it offers a lot of the past variant issues and other collectibles like the cards and coins.
While most of the items have more than enough units in stock a couple of the limited variants are almost sold out and down to its' very last copies.
When you put in a pre-order you are not charged right away though if you want to do it right now.
In fact it will be a few months before you are charged so you are basically just reserving a copy for yourself until I'm ready to start fulfillment in January 2020. And while you are effectively putting in a second order instead of adding items to your pledge, when fulfillment starts I will be able to combine both your pledge and the pre-order in one package going out under the shipping fee you already paid at the moment of your pledge on Kickstarter.
My point is I want to make sure that you all have the same opportunity to go after the most sought-after items as anybody out there that may stumble on the web store. If you don't want to wait until the BackerKit Surveys come in for any of the items just click the link above.
PRODUCTION UPDATE
Fabiano has been hard at work on pages 1 through 20 already of the comic but seeing how we added more story pages to the book I will need to go back to writing and slow our pace a little bit. I don't expect it to delay the fulfillment though as I have set a pretty realistic delivery date already.
I also need to lock down two board game artists to work on the Variand Redhead character card which will feature brand new art on both sides. Since this happened on the last couple of days I just did not have time to plan for it.
I'm excited about it though because the artists I have in mind are absolutely fantastic!
Just so this update doesn't go without some eye-candy here's a WIP sneak peek at some new art for the board game and extras we unlocked over there:
Ray Chou is one of the best indie creators you'll find around Kickstarter. I'm a huge fan of his series Skies of Fire and just recently I also had the chance to check out Glow and it's just as awesome with a meticulous world-building as the former.
It's no surprise then that with a little over a week left to go Glow #3 is already fully funded with over 700+ backers. Ray has always been a TFAC supporter and a friend so I really hope you will go check out his latest work. From their own page: "Glow takes place in a world where magic catalyzed both industrial revolution and nuclear holocaust. Half a millennia ago, an ancient and powerful empire known as Nymera developed a means to channel and store magical energy into a sticky blue substance known as anima, storing them into massive Towers across the world. With the aid of the Towers, the Nymerans brought peace and paradise into the world. Until one day the Towers fell. The story of Glow takes place two hundred years after that cataclysmic event, and follows the story of those who remain."
That's all for now, folks.
But remember, if anyone has any questions or critiques feel free to shoot me a message right here on Kickstarter or email at [email protected].
