Howdy, my good friends!

Halloween is upon us and I promised you all some updates moving forward with The Few and Cursed. There's tons of exciting news to share and perhaps one not so exciting but here we go, I'll start with the "sad" news first:

As advanced as we are with production I still don't think we will be able to wrap up Issue #6 by end of November meaning we will then have to go through the Chinese Year and of course the holidays with the printing and that will surely put us a little bit behind our latest schedule.

Good news is: The Few and Cursed #6 has been 100% laid out!!! 

And let's not forget we're behind schedule because I added almost ten extra story pages to the book ;)

Fabiano and I will be attending C2E2 and Emerald City Comic Con next year and they happen a couple of weeks apart from each other so worse comes to worst we will do the fulfillment in between the two events.

I apologized in advance for yet another delay but while these are happening because of the quality we are shooting for with the season finale, I won't feel bad. Keep scrolling and I will share some lay outs and latest pieces done for this Kickstarter.

Before we dig into the year of 2020, let's review our latest dates for this Kickstarter and what we still have in store for this first season, shall we?

•  October 31st (that's today!) - 2020 Calendar Announcement for all things The Few and Cursed including Season 2! Keep on scrolling for news \o/
•  November 19th - Launch date for the Kickstarter campaign to fund Shadow Nation, the brand new book in The Few and Cursed universe bringing a whole new cast of characters and curses!
•  ----> November 25th <---- NEW DATE - BackerKit Surveys sent  out to all backers. They are mandatory so please mark your calendar and make sure you are getting e-mails from BackerKit.
•  ----> December 12th <---- NEW DATE - Issue #6 Digital Copies distributed via BackerKit.
•  December 19th - End date of Shadow Nation on Kickstarter
•  ----> March 4th <---- NEW DATE - Rewards Fulfillment for The Few and Cursed #6 begin

So yeah, while some dates might have shifted, I still think it's for the best. Having seen Fabiano's layouts for the ending I cannot help but smile as if I've been walking around with a hanger in my mouth.

Seriously, the book is looking fantastic and we will be sure to deliver as much fan service as possible!

THE FEW AND CURSED: SHADOW NATION

I will be writing the new book with Rui Silveira doing pencils & inks and Téo Gonzales tackling colors. We will be doing two different editions of the book and two covers by master artistas.

THE FEW AND CURSED #6 LATEST ARTWORKS

One of the most exciting extras we unlocked via Stretch Goals was the variant Redhead card that can be used in the board game. Artists Ivan Anaya and Zork Marinero delivered their pieces last week while Genzoman had his layout/design approved yesterday.

Another fantastic piece also came in yesterday. We also unlocked a brand new and exclusively commissioned artwork for the back cover of all books except the Kickstarter exclusive.

I reached out to master artist Mark Evans for the piece and it's just so rewarding seeing these terrific artists putting their best foot forward. Check out his Redhead rendition:

I can't share dates and too many details yet but everyone involved with The Few and Cursed has already started laying out our plans and ideas for next year. Obviously we're getting a jump on 2020 because I want to hear your opinion about some of them!

Let's do this:

As I've mentioned before Fabiano and I will be attending C2E2 in Chicago and Emerald City in Seattle next year. Now that we have a complete story and all six issues (almost) done we feel this is the right time to start attending more and more conventions.

On top of those we also plan on attending Florida Supercon, New York Comic Con and a few other shows around the country we're still waiting to confirm (would you like to see us at your local convention? Leave a comment with a link so we can check it out!)

Conventions are a big part of what we have in store for 2020 because we plan on publishing not one but two hardcover The Few and Cursed books!!!

The Few and Cursed: Crows of Mana'Olana will be our first trade paperback and will collect all six issues, never before seen concepts, layouts and studies, brand new art gallery and more! It will also feature two gorgeous exclusive new covers, one by a fantastic artist I cannot wait to share who it is, and it will be available in both softcover and hardcover editions \o/

The Few and Cursed: Painting the World Red is something I've been wanting to do for quite a while and it's finally time. This is going to be our very first ART BOOK! The idea is to collect as many pin-ups, illustrations, covers and more while sharing their process from layout to finished piece. If you enjoy great art, you will get a kick out of this book!

And if those announcements isn't enough, here are a couple more:

The Few and Cursed will continue to chronicle Red's curse chasing adventures with the release of a brand new story arc again with art by Fabiano Neves and script by yours truly!

Rock Manor Games, Mike Gnade and myself will also deliver an expansion pack for the board game not only adding new characters, curses, items, artifacts and more but also offering brand new game mechanics :D

And who knows... we might have some surprises to announce as the year rolls around too. Keep supporting us and we will keep doing our best to entertain all of you. We wouldn't be able to get this far without your support and enthusiasm so as always THANKS SO MUCH for sticking with us!

Howdy, folks!

I've got some bittersweet news to share with you all and I will start with the good. The script for Issue #6 is now complete and while I had already announced the book would be published as a double-issue with 48 pages anyway Fabiano and I still had planned to deliver not more than 38 or 39 story pages.

Well... issue #6 has clocked at 44 pages!!!!

Fabiano wasn't too thrilled about it because it obviously impacted our production calendar. Not by much but at least a couple of weeks so Fabiano has enough time to continue delivering his best work without rushing through it.

And when I say his best work, I really mean it, check it out:

Alright, the extra pages will delay us but not too much. 

Still enough to get me to fix some of our dates so you can all follow up on our progress without worrying, especially because the printer will surely ask for the same 8-10 weeks so a little delay now impacts delivery a couple of months later.

So here we go, as I have finally wrapped up the script, these are a bit more accurate now:

•  October 2nd (that's today) - Kickstarter pre-launch and sign-up for SHADOW NATION (the campaign won't be live but you'll be able to check out some previews and sign-up to be notified when we do launch - scroll down for details)
•  October 3rd thru 6th - New York Comic Con. I will be at the Artists Alley at Table E-30 with tons of TFAC content including an exclusive Shadow Nation promotional post-card that will be given for free during all four days.

I do apologize for the delay but I can't say I'm sorry. Adding pages and ending the story without the pressure of hitting deadlines or a page goal is the best reason for a delay. I did take my time with the issue but I'm extremely proud of the ending and I cannot wait for you all to experience it. 

And thank you for allowing me such freedom through your support and patience, Fabiano and I really appreciate it. Without it the quality of work wouldn't be the same.

It's time to explore another corner of The Few and Cursed universe, folks! I'm extremely proud to be joined by artists RUI SILVEIRA & TÉO GONZALES to tell a brand new tale set in the same world we've come to know through Red's eyes.

Shadow Nation is a graphic novel with a complete story that begins on the East coast and then takes readers deep into the Federation of Texas and Comanche territory. I'm taking this opportunity to introduce a complete new cast of characters while finally giving room for a couple of characters created for Chronicles and the board game to shine:

BIG UPDATE! Sneak peeks of issue #6, 2019 revised Calendar and the exciting spin-off title reveal!!! \o/

Hey gang!

I know it hasn't been that long since our last update but seeing how some dates have shifted on my end I thought I'd already share them with you all.

Fabiano and I are hard at work on issue #6 but we are not looking to rush it. It's our season finale and we want to finish it strong. I've been struggling with the script because I want to make sure it's not like anything else you might have seen out there. I want it to be exciting, well crafted and memorable.

As of right now about 2/3 of the script is finished and by the end of the week Fabiano will be about halfway through the book.

We've been working on The Few and Cursed every day and I hope you guys have a heck of a time when we finally make it available. Our original schedule was to send out the BackerKit Surveys early next month during New York Comic Con along with the Digital Copies shortly after. 

This would coincide with the Kickstarter launch for the LaVerne spinoff announced back in July. But seeing how we are taking a bit longer with issue #6 here are some proposed shifts in our TFAC calendar.

•  October 2nd - Kickstarter pre-launch and sign-up for the LaVerne spinoff (the campaign won't be live but you'll be able to check out some previews and sign-up to be notified when we do launch)

LAVERNE SPINOFF TITLE REVEAL...

Up until now the official working title of the spin-off was "The LaVerne Spinoff" but I think it's time we finally give it a real title, isn't it?

I've been working on a completely new cast of characters (well, maybe not completely, there will be a familiar face or two popping up) and on a completely new region of this giant wasteland that is the world of The Few and Cursed.

What you will see below is nothing but the LAYOUT for the proposed variant cover to be digitally painted by superstar artist Gilberto Martimiano Jr.

As mentioned last week I have a new graphic novel in the works. One-Eyed Jack Vol. 1 is now LIVE on Kickstarter and welcoming pledges with special early bird rewards and limited collectibles!

I sincerely hope to see many of you jumping titles - especially on the first couple of days when your support is absolutely necessary to get us up to the top of the category.

Hey gang!

Just thought I'd check in and share a little bit of our progress working on issue #6. Fabiano has finished laying out the issue up to page 20 and has turned in about ten completed pages.

Colorist Tiago Barsa started working on the book as well and has already shared some exciting beautiful work!

I think this new comic book series is really going to connect with most of you. One-Eyed Jack is a thrilling re-telling of events that led up to the Las Vegas Shooting that took place back in October 1st, 2017. 

Created and executive produced by Anthony E. Zuiker - the creator of TV franchise CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - with stunning artwork by Brazilian artist BRÄO this new series looks to be a protest comic book designed to raise awareness to political and social issues in our country but with a twist.

The Kickstarter for One-Eyed Jack Volume 1 launches next Tuesday (Aug. 27th) at 10am EST.

But you can already pay the project a visit and check out an exclusive sneak peek at more info, more art and all the perks we will be offering. Just hit the link above, have some fun and leave a comment if there's anything you'd like added or edited.

I could not be more excited about this opportunity and the chance to be working side by side with one of TV's greats. Not only it's been one heck of a learning experience this will definitely impact any future plans of ever seeing Red in a small or big screen.
